National Award: The AATSP Outstanding Teacher of the Year Awards are given to teachers of Spanish or Portuguese representing the following four categories; a $500 honorarium accompanies each of the awards:

A. Elementary Level: Grades K-8
B. Secondary Level 9-12
C. Two-year Community college
D. Four Year College/University

Eligible nominees must have at least 5 years in a row as an AATSP member and must have taught Spanish or Portuguese at any level for 5 years. Email the nominee’s name and contact information (institution, email, phone number if you can obtain it). We will contact the nominee to request an application packet if they win at their level for the state chapter.
