About the Chapter

Activated in 2005, the purpose of the North Carolina Chapter is to promote, study and teach the Spanish and Portuguese languages and the cultures of the nations where these languages are spoken. Preliminary goals include providing membership, promoting professional growth, a spirit of fellowship among teachers of foreign languages and to maintain students, administrators and other persons aware of the importance of the study of Spanish and Portuguese in North Carolina, as well as to encourage the exchange of ideas with conferences, workshops, and the distribution of a newsletter.
