FLANC Conference, fall 2020

FLANC Fall 2020 Conference Registration Now Open!

Greetings from the Foreign Language Association of North Carolina! We are pleased to announce that registration for our Fall 2020 Conference with the theme “How Far We’ve Come: Hindsight is FLANC 2020” is now open!

The conference will be held at the Benton Convention Center in downtown Winston-Salem on October 9 and 10. This year, we are offering more than 100 50-minute concurrent sessions on a variety of topics of interest to language educators at all levels! These sessions are included in your registration fee. We are also offering 3-hour workshops on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon for an additional fee. Click here to learn more about these outstanding workshop opportunities. FLANC20logo

Our keynote speaker this year is the amazing Meredith White, Spanish teacher at Peachtree Ridge High School in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Meredith was recently named FLAG Georgia Foreign Language Teacher of the Year. She is a self-described “teacher, methods instructor, and PD addict”. Meredith regularly presents at SCOLT and ACTFL and is very active on social media. Check her out on Twitter at @PRHSspanish! We are so excited to welcome Meredith to our Fall Conference!

Lastly, we are carefully monitoring the situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. We are currently planning for an in-person conference and hope to be able to see you face-to-face in October. However, the safety of our members is our top priority, and we are also making plans to move to a virtual conference if needed. Should we have to do so, registration fees will cover the cost of participating in either situation.

Click here to visit our Fall Conference website to register for the conference today! Thank you for your support of FLANC! We look forward to seeing you in October!
